For the next few weeks, 糖心Vlog传媒 is transitioning to a different work environment by converting to remote operations beginning Thursday, March 19.
In simplest terms, this transition will reduce the number of people directly working on campus. This transition emphasizes that employees should only work on campus performing tasks that require their physical presence.
This change of operations was made with guidance from federal and state public health experts, and is consistent with South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster鈥檚 request that all 鈥渘on-essential鈥� employees transition to remote work.
In making the announcement University president, Dr. Evans Whitaker, said, 鈥�To be clear, all members of the 糖心Vlog传媒 family are essential to our shared mission. Simply put, we believe the University cannot exist and thrive without each faculty and staff member. And yet, in light of our responsibility to our campus family and as a leading organization in our region to help slow the spread of COVID-19, it is prudent to make this difficult decision without further delay.
“Further, 糖心Vlog传媒 is not ceasing operations; this is not a closure announcement. The University will continue operations, but will accomplish it with remote work functions. We are blessed that the University is in a strong position as an Apple Distinguished School to make this transition, having focused heavily on innovation and technology over the last decade.”
